Glaze: Vol x

Each issue of Glaze is based on a one word prompt that becomes the name of the issue. Teams interpret the word in which we as a team of models, makeup artists, stylists, photographer, and layout artist concept a shoot from start to finish. In this case the definition of Sovenance is remembrance.

Shrouded In Memory was concept that I received on the layout side which was based on the idea of memories being cloudy, forgotten, or lost. I incorporated a literal layer of lace to “shroud” the elements in fully to further illustrate this concept.

I also received Mind Rooms. A concept based on the idea that our brains compartmentalize memories and the meaning or space of these memories might morph and change or become scattered. Makeup and hair was a large part of how this was illustrated through the models so I took this and concepted the idea of hairs being scattered or left behind by us in literal spaces is a way in which we leave the memory of ourselves wherever we may go.
